Determine the composition of two functions

Guys…..
What do you think when you hear composition of two functions?

What‘s kind that meal?? What’s the ingredient? hahahahaha
Ohhh… no.no.no.no that’s not meal

Composition of two functions is topic in mathematics right? So, what do you feel when you learn that? It’s hard?
Here I will make you to be like to learn composition of two functions. How?
Let’s see…..
First, I have software which called NLVM (National Library of Virtual Manipulative).

You can download this software. Now you can open the software with topic about algebra (grade 9-12). Then you click function machine and let’s do the instruction.
I think after you done, you will find the pattern from composition of two functions that if a function h(a) and another function g(a) then the composition from function h and g it’s mean that range of g is the set all of domain h. you can write down (hog)=(h(g(o))

How about solve the exercise from composition of two functions?
If you understand about the concept then you can solve the problem.

Beside you can use NLVM, you can watch this video. Check this out

So, you can make the fun learning process about composition of two functions right? Not only read from your books or hear explanation from the teacher but you can also explore the material by yourself :)

Introduction: Polynomial

A polynomial is a mathematical expression involving a sum of powers in one or more variables multiplied by coefficients.

If a polynomial in the variable x with coefficients real numbers are considered a function, so the notation:
If a polynomial in the variable x with coefficients real numbers are considered a equation, so the notation:
Example :
Find the coefficients of x from the polynomial:
Answer!
So, the coefficients of x is 3

So, the coefficients of x is -1

So, the coefficients of x is -4

Well, if you want to know more about Polynomial, just keep post on us.

Fun Learning in Probabality

What is probability?
learn how to find the probability of random phenomena/ event.

Probability Of An Event
P(A) =  The Number Of Ways Event A Can Occur
The total number Of Possible Outcomes

To learn probability, you can learn directly with experiment like tossing coin, die and etc.
Such as  in the video below.

Experiment 2:   A single 6-sided die is rolled. What is the probability of 1 outcome? What is the probability of rolling an even number? of rolling an odd number?

Outcomes:   The possible outcomes of this experiment are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Probabilities:
P(1)  =  # of ways to roll a 1  =  1
total # of sides 6

P(even)  =  # ways to roll an even number  =  3  =  1
total # of sides 6 2
P(odd)  =  # ways to roll an odd number  =  3  =  1
total # of sides 6 2

You can also use games to learn probability. I think  you can more enjoy with this way to study about probability. Check to this link for gameshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzaMZ4CHWLc

Check your understanding :

1.  Which of the following is an experiment?
Tossing a coin.
Rolling a single 6-sided die.
Choosing a marble from a jar.
All of the above.

RESULTS BOX:

2.  Which of the following is an outcome?
Rolling a pair of dice.
Landing on red.
Choosing 2 marbles from a jar.
None of the above.

RESULTS BOX:

3.  Which of the following experiments does NOT have equally likely outcomes?
Choose a number at random from 1 to 7.
Toss a coin.
Choose a letter at random from the word SCHOOL.
None of the above.

RESULTS BOX:

4.  What is the probability of choosing a vowel from the alphabet?

None of the above.

RESULTS BOX:

5.  A number from 1 to 11 is chosen at random. What is the probability of choosing an odd number?

None of the above.

RESULTS BOX:

Statistics 2 (Quartile 1 and Quartile 3)

Hai guys :)
After learn about statistics 1, let’s we learn about quartile 1 and quartile 3
Still remember with median? Median is same with quartile 2, the middle of the data.
Then how about quartile 1?
First, absolutely we have to know the median or quartile 2, symbol it with Q2
Example,
There is data score of math exam, 45,55,56,54,78,80,88,78,89
Quartile 1
We find the median or quartile 2 first, order the data first; 45,54,55,56,78,78,80,88,89 . Hence the median is 78.
Then we get all first part of data before median which is 45,54,55,56, then we find the middle data of that, that is (54+55)/2= 54,5
Hence the quartile 1 or Q1 is 54,5
Quartile 3
We hold all last part of data after median which is 78,80,88,89, then we find the middle data, that is (80+88)/2= 84.
Hence the quartile 3 or Q3 is 84.

Is it easy, right?

Statistics 1 (Range, Mean, Median and Mode in Single Data)

Statistics is a study to analyze quantitative data

Statistics is the way for you to analyze the data, it is very useful in processing data. In statistics there are single data and group data.

The example of single data:
I am a teacher, I have 11 students and these are my students' score in math exam 66, 67, 68, 65, 55, 66, 76, 69, 77, 87, 56. Now help me to calculate Range, Mean, Median and Mode!

Range

Range is the interval between the biggest data and the smallest data, you just have to do subtraction.

Based on the problem above; 66,67,68,65,55,66,76,69,77,87 the range is= 87-55= 32. Hence the range is 32.

Mean

Mean is same with Average, the way to find mean value is the sum of all data divided by total of data. For example, when you have 5 candies and your friend have 3 candies then you want to share it with same total to each. The first that you have to do is join all your candies with your friend's candies then divided by two because there is only you and your friend. The total candies that you get is the mean in statistics :)

Now, you try to solve the problem above;

Calculate the sum of data 66+67+68+65+55+66+76+69+77+ 87+56=751
Then we divided it by total data, there is 11 data. So 752/11= 68,36
Hence the mean of students' score in math exam is 68,36

Median

Median is the middle data, for example when you collect your math score data such as 88, 89, 75. First way that you have to do is order it by smallest to biggest 75, 88, 89 then see which one is in the middle. Yup, the median is 88
but what about even data? Let your data is 75, 87, 70, 88 as usual you have to order it 70,75,87,88 in the middle we have 2 data these are 75 and 87 so we sum it 75+87=162 then divided it by 2 because there is 2 data 162/2=81.
Hence the median is 81.

Now try to solve the problem above, first you have to order it like this one 55, 56,65,66,66,67,68,69,76,77,87 then find the data which is in the middle. The median is 67.

Mode

Mode is the most data, you just have to see which one always appear.

Based on the problem above, 55,56,65,66,66,67,68,69,76,77,87 we see that the data which has the most total data is 66, then the mode is 66.
